What is EXIF Data
EXIF stands for Exchangeable Image File, a format that is the standard for storing exchange information in digital photographic image files using JPEG compression. Almost all new digital cameras use EXIF annotations to store image information such as shutter speed, exposure compensation, F-number, metering system used, whether or not a flash was used, ISO number, date and time the image was taken, white balance, auxiliary lens used, and resolution. Some images can even store GPS information so you can easily see where the image was taken!
